Eco-Houses are houses which are eco-friendly this means that they are very ''healthy''. This means for example use water tanks so no rainwater goes to waste. This is being eco-friendly because you are not letting much water go down the drain but rather using it to supply your house with water.

How To Be Eco-Friendly?:

• Put in enough water tanks to collect more than the majority of the water collecting in your gutters as it runs off the roof. This means barely any water will go down the drains because it will all be going into your water tanks to be used as water for your house or garden at a late stage.

• You must also put in solar panels to generate power from a never ending natural resource the sun's light. This will run into a battery which will constantly provide enough power to your house. This will lower your electricity usage and there fore the amount the electricity provider will have to produce.

• Installing organic floors such as bamboo floors is better than using laminate or plastic type floors this is because it pollutes the enviroment as they make them and the plastic is generally bad. Bamboo flooring is sustainable and naturally insulating. 

• This is not for anybody looking to just make your house economical but rather for when you are rebuilding your house and making it economical. Use eco-bricks these are 2 litre plastic bottles stuffed with plastic packets and sweet wrappers and chip packets etc etc. overall this is using plastic to stuff hard into plastic bottles and then these are cemented together to make strong walls for your house. 

• Using grey water tanks to collect dirty water like washing up water from the house to distribute into the garden.

• Recycling is something many people already do and is easy to do.

• Making your own compost out of old kitchen food reduces your waste and is a cheap and efficient way of getting compost to supply your garden with.

• Make sure your roof, ceilings, walls and floors are insulated so you do not have to have extra artificial heating/cooling.

• You must also grow your own vegetables.
